Moksha is once again hitting the road with an All-Star horn section featuring Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), Skerik (Garage a Trois), and Peter Apfelbaum, (Hieroglyphics Ensemble). This is Moksha’s second tour with this lineup, and this time around they will be at it for three weeks with stops in their favorite west coast towns, from Salt Lake City to Seattle.

Moksha is known for unique collaborations that create fresh and explorative sounds for your enjoyment. Previous collaborations include The Santana Horns, members of the March Fourth Marching Band, DJ Logic and Brian Stoltz (funky Meters). Featuring guitar, keys, bass, drums, vocals and horns, this unique blend of musicians lives and breathes in a deep pocket of funk rock. Swirling in subtlety, their music paints a sonic landscape that unfolds in the moment and feeds on the dynamic ebb and flow of audience and band interaction. Come join the fun! Whether you prefer listening to the deep grooves or shaking your booty on the dance floor, there is something for everyone.

Moksha (moke-shaw) has climbed their way from the depths of Sin City onto the national scene after releasing two critically acclaimed albums with ‘Mammal or Machine’ and their recent sophomore album ‘Here To Go’ which debuted at #1 on the Relix Radio charts. Moksha is also one of the lucky handful of bands to perform a live webcast at Bob Weir’s State-of-the-art TRI Studios for broadcasting live HD video and audio streams directly to the Internet.

We’re fresh off our most recent tour of the West Coast and boy do we have some tales to tell! On this episode Sam and Tree are joined by the epic Bob Backstrom a.k.a. “Bobby B” and his legendary “jackal cackle,” who accompanied us on the whole tour. He will be aiding in the recollection of some of the more colorful incidents from our journey. Following that you can hear our entire Arcata show from Feb. 22nd at Humbrews (plus a little bonus audio at the end of the podcast). Enjoy!
